We’ve uploaded the Director’s Statement. It’s mostly a bunch of nonsense, but it does provide a little bit more insight as to how and why we made this film. You can check it out by clicking here.

Steph’s Big Pitch
January 6th, 2010
As many of you may know, Written By Producer Stephanie Bell has been working hard on launching the feature project The Devil of Appalachia (“DOA”), penned by Written By co-writer and star Matt Duggan.
This past Fall, Stephanie had the opportunity to compete in the American Film Market (AFM) & People’s Choice Awards first-ever “Favorite Film Pitch” competition, whereby she was given 2-1/2 minutes to pitch DOA on camera.
Of the HUNDREDS of pitches given, only FIVE pitches were named as Finalists and promoted to an online voting competition at the People’s Choice Awards website. We’re proud to announce that Stephanie’s pitch for DOA was one of them…AND she was the only Woman in the group! Congrats on your accomplishment Stephanie, and here’s to many, many more successes.

Go Trevor, Go!
August 28th, 2009
A hearty congratulations to Written By co-writer and star Trevor Boelter for advancing to the Semifinal Round of the 2009 Nicholl Fellowships in Screenwriting with his fantastic script Beatle John. Trevor works his tail off writing, acting, and holding down a full time job — quite successfully, we might add. He is one of the most dedicated writers we know, and he deserves every bit of success that comes his way. Congrats Trev, and good luck!
